There have been some great first person shooter games released in 2017 and one of the most positively received shooters on STEAM. While many folks will be interested in our PC modded controller for more fast paced and twitchy style shooters. We know that some of you love squad based games and that is exactly what Rising Storm 2 Vietnam is all about.

Setting the game during the Vietnam war really does make it stand out from the other first person shooters that have been released in 2017. The game was developed by Antimatter Games and Tripwire Interactive. If you are a history buff and like your games a bit more “authentic” then you are going to love how they have tried to base the locations in the game on places that actual historic battles happened. The locations just look amazing from jungles to villages, actually, the visual presentation really cannot be praised enough.

As far as the gameplay goes, to get the best out of Rising Storm 2 Vietnam, you have to work as a team. So get together with some buddies and create your own squad or be part of a team online. The thing that is important to note, is that you have to actually work as a team to have the best chance of victory. One of the coolest things that can happen is that you can actually take control of vehicles like helicopters.

Rising Storm 2 Vietnam is the best game in the series so far. If you are the kind of gamer who loves to work as part of a squad then you will really struggle to beat this.

We have heard that many of you guys like to use our modded PS4 and Xbox One controllers for the three Borderlands games that have been released so far. Well, it has been said that another Borderlands game is in the works. Nothing was revealed at this year’s E3, but come on! We all know this is coming at some point, Borderlands sells far too well for them not to want to make another one. Well before anything is announced here are a couple of things we would like to see!

Huge Roster Of Characters

The people behind Borderlands made some very memorable characters and Gearboxes follow up game, Battleborn has even more crazy characters. We would love to see a Borderlands game that has a roster similar to that of Battleborn and OverWatch.

Underwater Sections

Yes, this sounds kind of weird, but we think some underwater sections in a Borderlands game would be cool and could lead to some very cool looking enemies and bosses.

Awesome Guns

If there is one thing that Gearbox does better than anyone (well maybe Insomniac give them a run for their money) is weapons. Each new Borderlands game has introduced more and more awesome weapons

Cool Vehicles

Ok so this one might be a little hard to pull off, but we think some really cool vehicles that let you go fast around levels and also serve as a weapon would fit right in with the world of Borderlands.

Huge Powerful Bosses!

We really think that Borderlands would be perfect for some truly huge and powerful, multi stage bosses. Boss battles should be epic and we feel that if they took a page out of Destiny’s book with the way they handle their huge bosses that would be a great way to go.

2017 has seen some epic first person shooters, but today we are looking at a first person horror game. Do not get us wrong our amazing Xbox One and PlayStation 4 modded controllers would actually work very well with this game (rapid fire mod we are looking at you) but today we just wanted to share a bit of info on why you need to check out Resident Evil VII.

Resident Evil VII really changes things up for the series. 4, 5 and 6 were all about action, but for Resident Evil VII, Capcom has gone back to the series horror roots. The first person perspective works just amazingly well and if you have PlayStation VR, the experience is even more terrifying. The game sees you playing as Ethan Winters and you are looking for your wife, which leads you to a creepy as hell plantation that is being run by an equally creepy as hell family called, The Baker family.

The plantation is full of things that want you dead and while this is a new direction for the series, longtime fans will be happy with some of the nods to the older games that are sprinkled around too.

With puzzles, action and a ton and we mean a ton of scares. Resident Evil VII is just an awesome time. It is by far one of the most interesting first person games to come out in 2017 and if you have a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One it has to be a game that is on your radar. Just be warned this is a game that honestly will scare you!

Many people will tell you that the greatest game that Rockstar has made is Red Dead Redemption. It is an absolute masterpiece. Honestly, it is so good, you have to actually sit and really think hard about anything that is wrong with it! Amazing story, great presentation, incredible voice acting, and gameplay that mixes exploration, shooting and just a whole lot of fun. It is one of the best games of its generation and it is pretty crazy Rockstar have the guts to try and top it.

So far we have only had a very short teaser trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2, but it was enough to get us all very excited. Well, obviously the game is going to be set in the old west. But what ties will it have to the first game? The Grand Theft Auto series of games come and go with very little to do with each other (well apart from the expansions) so it is not to be unexpected that despite the old west setting, Red Dead Redemption will not have anything to do with the first game.

At the same time, the original Red Dead Redemption is set long after John Marston has tried to change his ways so maybe, Red Dead Redemption 2 could be some kind of prequel of John Marston when he was part of his notorious gang that he was hunting down in the first game?

No matter what, expectations are sky high for Red Dead Redemption 2 and you will be hard pressed to find a single gamer who thinks that Rockstar is not up to the challenge of making the sequel even better.

Could Battalion 1944 Be The Next Big FPS?

Here at Mods “R” Us, we always like to keep an eye out on any upcoming first person shooters that we feel have the potential be really interesting. One of these is Battalion 1944, which entered its Alpha stage back in May.

Where to start with Battalion 1944? Well, this game is being published by Square Enix, but it actually has a very interesting backstory in that it was not Square Enix who put up the cash to get this game made. Bulkhead Interactive is the development studio behind the game and they got the funding for the game through Kickstarter. It was a huge success with the game being funded in just a few days.

But what is Battalion 1944? Well, it is World War 2 based first person shooter. We know that it is going to be all about multiplayer action and so far details are a little on the thin side. But what we find very interesting about the game is the way that the developers have said that it is going to be heavily skill based.

We take this to mean that it is really going to matter when it comes to creating your character and giving them a good load out. Will you be able to run and gun, playing the game as a lone wolf? Or will you have to work with your teammates in order to have the best chance of victory?

While it is very early in the development for Battalion 1944, we are liking what we are hearing about it. Also, the fact it is coming out on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in addition to PCis really cool.

One game that is certainly on the watch list of most people in the Mods “R” Us office is Dead Island 2. The first two Dead Island games were a lot of fun, they were a little rough in places, but they offered zombie slaying in a way that just made them so much fun to play. Especially if you have a buddy with you and you are doing some zombie killing together.

Dead Island 2 seems like a whole new game. For one thing, you are not actually on an island. The game is set on the west coast of the USA and it actually features a pretty open world which sounds really cool. The rage system which gives you boosts that help you take down more zombies at a quicker rate along with the way you can craft items is being brought back. But Sumo Digital the people behind the game have said they have some new combat in Dead Island 2 that is going to make it even more fun

Dead Island is the kind of first person shooter that is a lot of fun, but it is hard as nails. That is why one of our modded controllers would come in handy as it will give you an edge, even if it is just reloading a little quicker or shooting faster.

We have loved what we have seen from Dead Island 2, but so far there is no release date been given. It actually is looking unlikely it is even going to be released in 2017! But we do hope it is.

While running and gunning is really cool and games like Call Of Duty are just a ton of fun. Every now and again, you want something that is a little bit more methodical, cerebral.. in other words, you want something that is more of a thinking man’s shooter and that is exactly what you have with Sniper Ghost Warrior 3.

The first two Sniper Ghost Warrior games were fun, but kind of straight forward. With Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, CI Games have actually added quite a lot of stuff to the game and to be honest with you, us here at Mods “R” Us feel that despite the mixed reviews, there is a lot to like about Sniper Ghost Warrior 3.

They introduced a kind of open world element to the game where when you are not taking part in the story. There are side missions which the game calls War Crimes and there is a very decent amount of them and actually, we would go as far to say that some of these are more interesting and fun than the actual story mission.

While Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 may not win any game of the year awards, it is still worth playing and actually, as of right now, you can pick it up dirt cheap. Which is great, especially since it has only been out for a few months. If you like your shooters a little bit slower paced and a little bit rough around the edges then you can certainly have a fun time with this. The open world aspect is very interesting and if they do get to make a fourth game in the series, we would love to see how this is expanded on.

Ok so here we have a game that would be great with our PC, Xbox One and PS4modded controllers, Prey 2! Prey 2 is a game that took the folks at Mods “R” Us and pretty much the whole gaming community by surprise. The reason for this is that many of us never thought it would happen. The first Prey game had one heck of a turbulent development time and while fairly well received did not exactly set the world on fire. So it looked like a sequel would be very unlikely.

Prey 2 was actually in development for ages and looked like it was going to be released.. it, of course, was not, but Bethesda stepped in as publisher and along with Arkane Studios decided that they would reboot Prey. With an all new story, setting and characters, the reboot of Prey took everyone by surprise.

Prey features some great first person shooter action. You actually have a lot of control over the design of your character and how they progress. While the action is awesome, it is the story that is really going to keep you playing. You play the role of a guy called, Morgan Yu, set in an alternative timeline (one where JFK did not get assassinated) you end up on an alien space station which is home to the Typhoon an alien race that waged war on Earth. It is just so much fun to play through and if you are into sci-fi, you are going to get a major kick out of this.

The reboot of Prey really is an awesome game and even if you did not get to experience the first game, it is well worth checking Prey out. By far one of the best first person shooters of 2017.

The folks at Mods “”R” Us have been bitten by the YouTube bug and while their channel is in its infancy, there are some really cool videos on there. The one we want to recommend you check out is 122 Kills Nuketown 2025 Hardpoint Gameplay | Call of Duty Black Ops 3. The title as you can see is pretty self-explanatory. But the video is a lot of fun to watch and it is impressive the level of skill the guy playing has.

Racking up over 100 kills is no small feat, especially on a map that is as busy as NukeTown. There is a ton of places to sneak and hide of this map so getting that many kills is really cool. As you can see this is the PS4 version of the game and a huge reason as to why the guy playing was able to do so much damage was playing on the PlayStation 4.

What is really cool about this is that he was using a modded PlayStation 4 controller. That is why he was able to run around the map taking down enemy after enemy. It is really cool being able to show you guys just how much fun these controllers are to use. There is a ton of different mods for each one and messing around changing which ones you use is a huge part of the fun.

Here at Mods “R” Us, many of the fine folks who purchase our controllers do so with the intention to play some Call Of Duty. We think that is awesome and while most of our controllers work with a majority of first person shooter games. We really go all out to make sure that our mods work with most Call Of Duty games, especially the more modern ones.

The way that our modded controllers help with Call Of Duty is by simply making things much, much easier. For example, dropping to the floor to then shoot someone can sometimes take a few precious seconds, which by the time you have done it… you are dead! But with our mod, you will drop the second you hit the fire button, saving you time and saving your butt!

Quick Scope

How often have you been on the tail or stalking some other player only to screw up because you took too long to aim? Well the quick scope mod, aims as soon as you pull that trigger! So there is no wasted time messing around with the LT or L1 button.

Sniper Breath

Playing as a sniper in any Call Of Duty game is a ton of fun, but it requires a certain amount of skill. Meaning that some of us who would like to play as a sniper, simply cannot do it. As you can probably tell by the different modded Xbox One controllers we have such as the 6000+ Mode Blue Out Color Modded Controllers Xbox One and the 6000+ Mode Controllers Xbox One All Color leds to name just a couple, we are huge Xbox One fans. We know that some people say there are no great Xbox One exclusives, but there are actually some fantastic ones such as Halo Wars 2.

The first Halo Wars game was a lot of fun, but we feel that 343 Industries really knocked it out of the park with the second installment and we would go as far to say that it is the best real-time strategy game on the Xbox One.

First of all, if you are a Halo fan you will love this game. Yes, there is a lot of strategy to this game, but the user interface is very easy to get to grips with and even if you are more of just a full on shooter fan than a person who likes to think before the act. You will have no trouble learning the basics of the game.

Speaking of basics, Halo Wars 2 has a very natural progression and as you unlock new and more powerful artillery, your skills in the game will be growing and you will be better equipped at knowing how to best utilize any new stronger weapons or troops you get.

Of course, the Halo lore that the game is wrapped up in is fantastic as is the presentation. If you love the world that Halo is set in, you will really have a great time with Halo Wars 2.

We know that some people are put off when they hear the term, strategy, but we would way that Halo Wars 2 is every much bit an action game as it is a strategy one.

Here at Mods “R” Us we have the best PS4, Xbox One or PC controllers that you can get! But we also like to talk about awesome upcoming games and one that has gotten us very excited is Destiny 2. The first Destiny promised so much and by the last expansion, they delivered. But Destiny 2 looks like it is going to be awesome right out of the gate. Here are some of the coolest features that we know of so far.

Better Story

The idea behind Destiny was great, but the execution was not so great! Destiny 2 is going to fix that by offering much more focus on the story. We love the sound of this and from what we have seen there is a ton more story missions and general back story as well this time around.

Better Use Of Weapons

We felt that the first Destiny had a great system for weapons. Destiny 2 is improving on this by changing the class system for weapons. You now have kinetic, energy, and power weapons. The idea behind weapons is to give players more choice when it comes to having their perfect loadout that will suit their play style best.

New Sub Classes

While Destiny 2 is still going to use Warlock, Hunter, and Titan as the classes. There is going to be some very exciting new subclasses added to the game. These look like they will be a ton of fun and we are sure many players, ourselves included will be having a try of all of them.

There is a ton of great content coming to Destiny 2 and here at Mods “R” Us, we cannot wait to see how people use our controllers with Destiny 2

Hey guys today here at Mods “R” Us, we want to share with your our Xbox One and PS4 controllers and also give you a few Battlefield 1 tips which along with our modded controllers will make sure you have the edge in Battlefield 1.

Spot Your Enemy!

Spotting is one of the best things you can do in Battlefield 1 and not enough people do it! We have a mod on our controllers that can handle this automatically. But even without this, you need to be spotting and letting your teammates know who is on the battlefield!

Horses Can Be Annoying!

Dealing with an enemy on a horse can be brutal. But it is actually a lot easier to deal with than many people think. The way around it is by not focusing on the horse, but instead the rider. 99/100 a horse will have more HP than the rider, so take out the rider.

Pay Attention To Capture Points

When you take a capture point your first instinct is to just high tail it to the next one. But it is worth just waiting around for a small moment as most of the time some kind of vehicle or something else will spawn in for the team that has taken the capture point. If you take off as soon as you have taken the capture point then you will miss out.

Do Not Quit!

If you have played even just a little bit of Battlefield 1 then you know all about Battlepacks. Well, the only people who get a battlepack are those who actually stick out the whole game and stay around until the end! So if you want to be in with a chance of getting a battlepack and scoring something really cool then do not quite before the match is over.
